Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET) was established in 1990 by visionary Late. Shri. Shankarrao B. Patil, Late. Smt. Lilatai Shankarrao Patil, Shri. Dnyaneswar P. Landage, Shri. Vitthal S. Kalbhor, Smt. Padma M. Bhosale, Shri. Harshwardhan S. Patil, Shri. Shantaram D. Garade, and Late. Shri. Bhaijan Kazi with an idea of providing quality education from K.G. to P.G. Its sole mission was aimed at serving society, the industry and all stakeholders through value-inculcating, quality education in the area of schooling, as well as professional tutelage in the fields of engineering, management, and computer applications.
PCET has always been committed to its mission by creating, communicating, preserving and applying knowledge, art, and academic values.
At the campus at Akurdi, Pune, nearly 7,200 students are being groomed in specialised courses like Engineering, MBA, MCA & PGDM by professional and passionate instructors. The campuses at Ravet are school to 1,200 would-be graduates at the College of Engineering, around 800 pupils at the Junior College, and approximately 2,500 students at the Public School, all amounting to a total of 11,700-odd students.
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE) is one of the best autonomous Engineering Colleges in Maharashtra. It offers undergraduate courses in Engineering in the branches of Civil, Computer, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology and Mechanical, with an intake of 840 students. It also offers Post Graduate courses in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications (VLSI), Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) Mechanical (Design), Mechanical (Computational Mechanics), Civil, AI-DS and MCA. PCCOE also has a Ph. D. Research Centre in Computer, E&TC, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. PCCOE also offers B.Voc Courses for Working Professionals.
PCCOE intends to attain eminence by development and nurturing of skills and providing technical education of standard quality. The institute campus has well developed laboratories, library, class rooms, hostel, canteen and play ground with all amenities.
PCCOE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. PCCOE has received accreditation from National Board of Accreditation (NBA), NAAC (A Grade) and is ISO 21001:2018 certified institute by TUV SUD. Also, PCCOE has received permanent affiliation from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
